Under the Pier: A Seafood Haven for Everyone

The food was excellent, I got a lunch platter which was so much better than I expected! The broiled flounder, shrimp, clam strips and clam cake along with sea chips and Cole slaw was delicious . Definitely can’t wait to go back here to try the other stuff on the menu. The server was nice and I loved that it was not busy when we got there at 2pm. My boyfriend got the broiled cod which was also really good ( of course I tried his too). They do however take cash only so be sure to have cash when you are heading over! And if not they also have an atm outside which is super convenient

I’ve driven by this place my whole life and decided to try it today, and boy did it pay off!!! Amazing seafood !!! Cash only but they have an atm with a low fee!

The food really tastes like the sea. Not really seasoned very well but mostly well cooked. Hadn't had hush puppies in years and enjoyed the ones from here.

The food was very good tasted like real sea food! However, the place could use an attractive renovation, more marketing, and food delivery partnership which will generate more clients. They only take cash I think.

A classic dock-side, seafood shop. While not actually "under a pier" and not really all that close to the sea, this unassuming, under-the-radar joint has some of the best seafood around. We had Softshell crab (fried), lobster tails , fried breaded butterflied shrimp , hush puppies , and the deep-fried-battered broccoli bites (gotta get the veggies ). All served on paper table cover with paper plates and metal silverware. Classic. Bottled beer and a selection of house cocktails. Menu includes lots of goodies broiled, fried, steamed - we'll be back to try the flounder, tilapia, crabs, shrimp, scallops, chowder, and crab cakes (as long as we didn't stuff ourselves on the fried softshell crabs!). Staff were friendly, knowledgeable and pulling double duty in this one room hidden gem . Cash only!

We have done takeout many times but haven’t eaten in the restaurant in a few years. We finally got back this weekend and it was delicious as always! The place isn’t very fancy, but the waitress is super nice and the food never disappoints. Their shrimp and their scallops are amazing, but today I got there old English fish and chips. The beer batter is what makes it. Delicious! It is one of the best seafood places in the area. We did forget that it was cash only. Luckily they have an ATM on property. However if you want to avoid paying the service charge on the ATM, try to remember to bring cash with you.

Food was good and fresh! I got takeout. The lady I gave my order to was one of the most miserable people I have ever meant. She didn’t make any eye contact or smile. I had to ask her 3 times how long it would take for the food to be done before she answered me. Would definitely go there again but hope someone else is on the register!

The food and service was were great! I definitely would recommend this restaurant. All fresh food served here. Revised new review: 7/11/2025 I have to say, our server was so pleasant and greeted us with a smile. She was working hard serving a few other tables and still managed to not keep us waiting. F.Y.I. ask for a coleslaw cup and fill it with tarter/cocktail sauce if you're taking to go. Their food is still excellent and fresh. Portion sizes are enough for two people. Don't forget to checkout their lunch specials . Definite must try! Also, bring cash with you, they're a cash only establishment. I am not sure how much the surcharge is for the ATM if any?
